Dutch conversation classes with a personal teacher

Our Dutch conversation classes are flexible and practical, ideal for students who already studied Dutch before on A1 or A2 level and need to become confident in speaking or writing.

Since most Belgians and Dutch will speak English with foreigners, it can be challenging to find somebody to practise with. We see that a lot of our students therefore lack the practise needed to really gain the confidence needed for daily work or private life. 

How do conversation classes work?

Language learning is not a straight journey from point A to point B. From A2 onwards, it could be that you have difficulties with topics of A1 while already knowing notions of B1 or even B2 topics. This is why we customize your learning path and we highly recommend private conversation classes for levels of B1 and up.

What if I am busy?

Our conversation classes have flexible schedules with a 48 hours cancellation notice. This means that with our private classes you can every week agree with your teacher when to meet. You just need to indicate your availability in our portal and your teacher can schedule classes in your slots.

Your Dutch classes are personalized!

In our online Dutch conversation classes, you have the flexibility to discuss any topic that interests you. From work-related discussions to conversations about Dutch culture, daily life, or current events, your classes will be tailored to your personal interests and goals. Although personalized, we do follow NT2 guidelines.

Are these Dutch conversation classes recommended for beginners?

For complete beginners or students who only studied with learning apps or books, we recommended to take a look at our structured group courses to first gain a solid basis in Dutch grammar and vocabulary. During our group courses you study Dutch with a small group of maximum 5 other students. Group courses take 3 till 6 months per language level, with 2 or 4 lesson hours per week.

If you have a busy and changing schedule, we do also offer A1 and A2 Dutch private conversation classes and you can invite yourself a partner or colleagues to split the course costs. The advantage is, that the class schedule stays flexible.

Choose Your Teacher: Netherlands or Belgium

If you have experienced living in an area with any of the 17 Dutch dialects, you know why it is important to have a teacher who can also explain you regional differences and accents.

• Teachers from the Netherlands: Learn Dutch with a native speaker from the Netherlands and experience Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands or specific regions as Amsterdam, Limburg, Groningen or Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
• Teachers from Belgium: Alternatively, choose a teacher from Belgium and speak West-Flemish, learn with a teacher of Antwerp or Ghent or the soft accent of Limburg.

We provide a variety of learning materials to support your progress. These resources help you develop all aspects of the language, including speaking, writing, listening, and reading. Our materials are accessible from anywhere, making learning easy and flexible.

• Interactive Learning Materials: Each lesson includes personalized learning materials, tailored to your progress and learning goals.
• Audio and Video: We offer audio and video content to help you develop listening skills and get used to the natural flow of Dutch.
• Offline Availability: Our materials can be accessed offline, so you can continue learning even when you don’t have an internet connection.
• Real-Life Application: The materials include practical exercises based on real-life situations to make sure you’re ready to use Dutch in everyday contexts.

1. Indicate Your Availability: Let us know when you’re available to start your lessons and how often you’d like to study.
2. Choose Your Study Intensity: Decide on the frequency of your lessons and the pace that works best for you – whether intensive or more relaxed.
3. Meet Your Teacher: After we know your availability and study intensity, we will match you with a teacher from the Netherlands or Belgium. You’ll meet your teacher for an introductory session, and then you can start learning!
